During this visit we will go over your health history, I will do some assessments, and we will design a treatment plan together to meet your needs and goals with massage therapy. To maximize our time together, please ensure your forms are filled out online before your appointment (they will be emailed to you with your booking confirmation).

Initial Visit - Massage Therapy

During your treatment I will use a variety of massage techniques as we work on your treatment needs and goals. Your appointment *may* include aromatherapy,  cupping and/or implement assisted soft tissue mobilization if this is deemed appropriate and agreed upon during prior visits. 

***Please ensure you have first booked an "Initial Visit" appointment if you are new to my clinic.

Massage Therapy Treatment

This is a traditional from of massage originating from India. A blend of essential oils is applied in conjunction with massage to the upper back, upper arms, neck, face, and scalp. The benefits are relaxation, improved circulation to the head and upper body, headache reduction and better sleep.

This treatment uses a sequence of techniques that is the same everytime. While it is relaxing and works the muscles of the upper body, it is not designed to address knots, adhesions, or injuries - if this is your goal then a "Massage Therapy Treatment" appointment type would be a better fit for your needs.

***Your hair will get saturated with oil during this treatment. Some people chose to leave the oil in for several hours/ overnight as a hair treatment, or you may wash it out as soon as you get home. It will remove easily with shampoo and water, but you probably won't want to be seen in public until you have washed it out!

Indie Head Massage

This treatment uses 8 different essential oils and oil blends applied along the spine and the soles of the feet. It is designed to address 4 different areas of wellness: stress reduction, immune support, inflammation, and homeostasis.

*Please note: you will feel a variety of sensations along the back from the application of the essential oils. Some people experience cooling or warming along with a tingling sensation. This can last for 1-2 hours following the treatment. Additionally, you should avoid exposing the back to sun/UV rays for 24 hours following treatment as some of the oils can cause sun sensitivity.
